      The 2016 Angel Fire, New Mexico Reunion is coming up starting Friday, September 2-4.

      The bricklaying is an RFTW service project that we have adopted for many years.
      It will be on Saturday, September 3rd.
      Most riders depart for home on Sunday, September 4.
      Stay and make reservations in Eagle Nest, NM, if you can. Back-up lodging would be Angel Fire, NM.
      This reunion is open to all Central, Southerm, and Midway Riders, Supporters and FNGs.
      Friday, September 2nd at 6PM, There will be a “Meet & Greet” at Calamity Jane’s in Eagle Nest with hors d’oeuvres provided. This is the Bar & Restaurant next to The Laguna Lodge in Eagle Nest, NM.
      Lunch will be provided by the David Westphall Veterans Foundation at the Memorial on Saturday, September 3rd.
      Dinner on Saturday night will be at the Senior Center in Eagle Nest, NM.
      • The cost of the dinner is $20 per person when you PRE-PAY.
      • If you pay at the door, the cost is $30 per person.
      Please Pre-Pay for the dinner to give the people preparing the meal an accurate headcount.

      It’s that time of the year! Time to make your reservations and plan on attending the Angel Fire Reunion in Angel Fire and Eagle Nest, New Mexico. The bricklaying ceremony will be at the Westphall Foundation National Memorial on Saturday, September 3rd. We will start around 7:30 am. Please volunteer to participate. You won’t regret it.

      As an option, for those who would like to come to Albuquerque, NM on September 1, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn located at: 5050 Jefferson NE (I-25 and Jefferson) as our hotel of choice. The RFTW rate is $ 84.00 + tax for a king bed or for two queens, or $89.00 + tax includes a hot breakfast. Call (505) 944-2222, and tell them you’re with Run For The Wall. We will go to dinner at a local Mexican food restaurant a few miles away, Los Cuates at 8700 Menaul Northeast. KSU from the hotel at 6:40PM. Dinner reservations are at 7PM.

      On September 2nd, KSU at 9:30 A.M. and we will ride to Cochiti Elementary School enroute to Angel Fire. We will meet the kids that come and see us each year as we go by the school on The Run and provide them with RFTW pins.

      Current plans include having lunch with the kids and then ride to Eagle Nest and Angel Fire that afternoon.

      Friday, September 2nd, A “meet and greet” at Calamity Jane’s Saloon will start at 6 p.m. with a few hors d’oeuvres provided.

      Saturday, September 3rd, we will start gathering at the Memorial at 7:30 a.m. (burritos and coffee $3.00 will be provided). We will bring bricks up from the garage area and begin the preparations for the brick laying ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 9 A.M. with a break for lunch at the site around 12 noon. Dinner will be at 6 P.M. provided at the Senior Center in Eagle Nest at a cost of $20 per person (Pre-Pay), $30 per person at-the-door.

      Morning of September 4th we will have a short service in the chapel located on the memorial grounds. I will post the time.
