August 1, 2018 is THE LAST DAY to order bricks to be placed at the Memorial in Angel Fire, NM, this year. The bricks will be placed at the brick laying service on Saturday, Sept 1, 2018, at the Annual RFTW Angel Fire, NM Reunion and Brick Laying.

The RFTW Reunion for this project is Aug 31 – Sep 2, 2018. ALL Riders from ALL Routes, FNGs, family & friends are welcome to come to the reunion and also help in the brick laying on Saturday.  RFTW has been doing this now for 12 years.

Run for the Wall is the ONLY Group that is allowed to lay these bricks at the memorial and “officially change the grounds” to have these memorial bricks placed around the walkways.

Order a brick and have a friend or family member remembered for their service. The person DOES NOT have to be deceased, nor does the person have to be a Vietnam veteran to have a brick placed at the memorial. The person just needs to have served in the military or allied forces. Many times whole families come to join in the brick laying ceremony. It’s an honor for Run for the Wall to be given this responsibility.

      Order bricks here:

Kirk  – I don’t know if you are the correct person to address this but there was no information on either the order form for the dinner or on this website in regards to what time the dinner would be on Saturday evening.  That was cause for a little confusion.

There was also no hydration station at the Brick Lay Service project.  Even though the weather was nice, it was still at a higher altitude than most people were used to being in.  The only water available was at water fountains in the building.  The concern was for family members who had limited mobility and would not be able to  know what was happening to themselves until potentially too late.  If people had know there would not be a hydration area, they would have brought their own.

If you are not the correct person, could you please pass this on.  Thank you.

      Nancy Stern aka Fluffy
