KeymasterAs RFTW policy stands, all registered RFTW riders are eligible to ride down to the Pentagon and participate in the Rolling Thunder as part of Run For The Wall. There are several, however, that arrive in D.C. that weekend to participate in Rolling Thunder. For those riders or passengers who want to participate as an RFTW rider must be registered & have signed in for their wristband BY SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. There will be NO registration done on Sunday morning OR after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Registration will be closed. If you or your passenger are not registered by then, you will NOT be riding to the Pentagon with the group. Please pass this on to any of your friends that are arriving in D.C. on that weekend for the purpose of riding in Rolling Thunder as part of RFTW.

ParticipantGus, This is confusing, if we are register for RFTW then all we have to do is be in the Host hotel parking in the morning to ride as a group to the Pentagon Rolling Thunder, I thought.

KeymasterFor clarification for the new riders—
Some RFTW riders go on their own down to Rolling Thunder (or the Pentagon parking lot) instead of riding as part of the RFTW group that leaves the host hotel parking lot. To be in that group that rides together from the hotel, you must be a registered RFTW rider. Plain and simple. To confirm what was already earlier, RFTW is NOT part of Rolling Thunder– we only ride in the event, along with many other groups or organizations.

ParticipantSo if I am registered for RFTW I do not need to fill anything out to ride in the demonstration ride. Correct?

KeymasterStumpy, you are registered with Midway Route, so that’s all you need to be escorted from the Holiday Inn (Host Hotel) to the Pentagon Parking lot on Sunday morning for the Rolling Thunder ride.
