I have not been back to The Wall since 2017. Planning to go this year. What can I expect in DC?

We still park on the lawn? Will there be vendors and food trucks?

Rolling to Remember (TOTALLY DIFFERENT GROUP) has taken over the Yearly Demonstration from Rolling Thunder. Run for the Wall (This Group) rides from LA to DC and some of our riders participate in the Rolling to Remember ride.

I am with AMVETS Riders and will be volunteering at Rolling to Remember.  This will be the fourth year that AMVETS assumed the honor of facilitating this ride.  The details are still being worked on and hopefully out pretty soon.

Speed Bump, a friendly suggestion for R2R and AmVets. Rolling to remember.com needs to be updated asap even if it is that info is incomplete at this time and will be posted shortly. Secondly, when you cross post to groups that are not part of R2R only post a link to rollingtoremember.com instead of details.

RFTW.us is not affiliated with Rolling To Remember just like AmVets is not an official outlet for R2R.

Again this year I will be at the JFK Stadium at 6:00am to help with parking the thousands of motorcycles that line up for the Parade.  Kick Stands Up at 12:00 for the :20 minute parade thru DC.

The Rolling To Remember parade is on Sunday May 28th.  Gates upon at 6:00am if you want to ride near the head of the group.

Definitely want to be near the head. When I lived in NY we used to go to the Pentagon lot and getting out of there was a crap shoot. It took hours from KSU. Finally stopped riding in the parade because of the wait times.

I have to trailer to DC the Boss will be in a boot and unable to ride.

We did this in 2010,  would Never so it again,  we were with RFtW, got close to the front but still 1.5 hour wait AFTER 12 noon to get moving.  We arrived at 0700 – TOTAL wait = 6.5 hours for a 15 min ‘CLUStER’ parade.  We dit It – never again.

      good luck

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Some families have been waiting 50+years to learn what happened to their loved ones, waiting a few hours for a remembrance ride not a big deal, maybe your there for the wrong reasons 🙁</p>

      Here we go……

After putting in 20 years waiting on lines, I don’t care much for waiting on a useless line.

      Big Red

I rode with RFTW  2010, 2011, 2012, 2021, 2022 and again will ride with them in 2023.  For a Total of 18,000 miles One way.  Each of those miles were in Remembrance & Honoring ALL Vets.  So do not preach to me about being there for the wrong reason.  USN 68/72

sitting in a parking Lot for 6+ hours waiting for a 15 min ride is a 1 time event for me.

Maybe some of these commenters should go to the “Vietnam Veterans Wives and Surviving Spouses” facebook page and read their heart-rending messages of watching their Veterans die from the effects of Agent Orange, and then maybe you will have a better idea of why I work in the parking lot for 6 hours and then ride for :20 minutes with all of the other Veterans.  Harley071: the beer is on me, Brother.

Yeah, everyone wants to tell ya what to do….

I have 80K miles on my PGR Bike escorting Veterans Funerals here in AZ. How come you all don’t do that?

LOL Preacher stories have been rolling off my back since 11/68.

Beers? I no longer drink but I’ll buy the coffee….
