For those using a handheld CB (midland 75-822) with Firestik, what firstik set up did you use? Did you have to tune the antenna? Did you use 9’ of cable?

I just completed my ATW FNG ride. I rode back solo, but would have preferred to ride back with others and enjoy my return. The return trip home is different for everyone. Things to consider; time available, cost, agenda, distance, WEATHER. The more flexiblabilty you have the better the experience will be. I rode to Kentucky and stayed with a friend, but then rode 1000 miles the next day to stay ahead of a tropical storm, then continued to ride long distances each day back to California because i was solo. I will be participating next year ATW, but with far more insight about how I will return. Feel free to join me.

    Oil Recommendations?

As i prepare my 2003 twin cam, I began to wonder what oil others riders with similar bikes were using in their crank case, transmission, and primary. Given the high temps over the first few days, long hours over the trip, should i continue with conventional 20-50 or something else. Also because i will be riding from California and back, i will need to service my bike at some point. I am a FNG (proudly) looking for advice from those who have made the trip before.

I am  FNG and wondering if you will be having your next meeting. I live in Jamestown, Ca and plan to make the run. Looking for others to travel with. I plan to take the Central Route. Lots of questions.
