I will be returning to Central California, flexable on route home. I generally wing it avoiding bad weather. I will be on Central Route. Company always welcome.
Rotorhead, will you be on the Central Route? I-70 sounds good. I rode I-40 solo last year, i would enjoy company.
I will be returning to California through Colorado / Utah. Central Route Tail Gunner, Platoon 6. Lets talk in Ontario or where ever you join the run. I’m also in contact with a Utah rider. Feel free to call, contact info on this site.

For those using a handheld CB (midland 75-822) with Firestik, what firstik set up did you use? Did you have to tune the antenna? Did you use 9’ of cable?
I just completed my ATW FNG ride. I rode back solo, but would have preferred to ride back with others and enjoy my return. The return trip home is different for everyone. Things to consider; time available, cost, agenda, distance, WEATHER. The more flexiblabilty you have the better the experience will be. I rode to Kentucky and stayed with a friend, but then rode 1000 miles the next day to stay ahead of a tropical storm, then continued to ride long distances each day back to California because i was solo. I will be participating next year ATW, but with far more insight about how I will return. Feel free to join me.
Thanks for the good words, patriots like you are what led me to this mission. I will be riding the Central Route.
Thanks, i am leaning towards Amsoil, no service while on the run. Physically i will be ready, emotionally to be determined.
As i prepare my 2003 twin cam, I began to wonder what oil others riders with similar bikes were using in their crank case, transmission, and primary. Given the high temps over the first few days, long hours over the trip, should i continue with conventional 20-50 or something else. Also because i will be riding from California and back, i will need to service my bike at some point. I am a FNG (proudly) looking for advice from those who have made the trip before.
Is the march 17 meeting still on, given the weather?
I will be there FNG.
I am FNG and wondering if you will be having your next meeting. I live in Jamestown, Ca and plan to make the run. Looking for others to travel with. I plan to take the Central Route. Lots of questions.
