Howdy Ronoster7, I’m a FNG for the 2019 RFTW. But, I rode a bunch on an 47 HD Nuck, a couple of super glides.. I always tight wrapped a sleeping bag and put it in a H2Oproof bag and bungied it on the front fender and across the forks( or the springer on the 47). carried a 3 person dome tent bungied  to the backrest straight up and down. Still had room for a small duffle behind the back rest with the tent, and used a fairly large pack on the back seat, also bungied to the passenger back rest, and used it for a drivers backrest. that still left me both saddle bags for a tool set, rain gear etc and so forth. Anything in your pack needs to be rolled tight and put in various ziploks in case of rain. Don’t know how your scoot is set up but if you got the driving/fog  lights and that made a great place for my leather jacket rolled up and once again bungied on.  Hope this helps a bit.  Invest in a bunch of GOOD bungees assorted sizes and a few spares.   I’m on a Wing Trike pulling a bunkhouse. Body got tired of ground camping. Hope to Cya I’m enlisting at Grand Prairie, TX for the Southern route. Your brother FNG Larry “Mayday” Murph

Howdy Wally Gator, Your road name transported me back in time sitting in front of the Philco watching Sat. Morning Cartoons…. Made me smile. I really appreciate the info. Just got the Bunkhouse out and dusted of the cover. Going to set up and take down a few times to get the muscle memory back. Looking forward to joining up. Hope I get to meet you and shake hands.

Wow! lots of great info and tips and will check out other forums and newsletters. I am a 2019 FNG and I will be on a trike and pulling a trailer. So far I haven’t read a lot of info about that other than we (trikes & trlrs.) will be lined up nearer to the back (btw no problems with that , just proud to be in the run).  Also questions and info on the camping end of it. Are there any dedicated  personnel that are in charge of the camping troops. to facilitate in getting them back to the morning staging area and such or is it YOYO ??
