I'm a flute and piano teacher in Las Vegas. In October 2014 I began serving with the Southern Nevada Patriot Guard Riders, Vietnam Veterans and Southern Nevada Women Veterans at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. I play Hymns, Patriotic Songs and requests by family (if present) during internment at graveside. This small service was begun to honor my uncle, Fred Kleps Jr., B-17 navigator, who was shot down on a run to Berlin in 1944 as well as my father, Joseph Ferris Sr., a Korean veteran who developed the radar systems used during that time. On a personal note: I am married, moved to Las Vegas from Michigan (Saline/Detroit) in 1986, have 2 dogs and a cat and a private studio of 40 students ages 3-17.
